Our Staff

Our staff have the most important job - caring for your canine family members. For that reason, it takes a lot to be a part of the DD Team.   All staff go through an extensive training process learning about dog health, behavior, training basics and group management. Because learning is an on going process, all staff are required to attend monthly staff meetings as well as yearly staff In Service. While on the playroom floor, our staff continually reinforce "good" dog behaviors, and help to minimize "poor" dog behaviors. Staff are continuely working with the dogs throughout the day reinforcing basic commands, engaging them in fun activities or even cuddling with them on the floor.  Staff are trained to notice any health changes to properly care for any dogs that are visiting for several nights. We are lucky to have such a great team.

Daniel M.
Play Group Leader

Daniel's love for dogs is a given. He feels they are amazing and fascinating animals that deserve a lot of love and care. When he was in high school, Daniel worked at an animal shelter and it was his first experience caring for dogs that were not his own. While working at the shelter, Daniel learned how to feed, walk, bathe dogs.  Daniel grew up with a Pomeranian and a rottweiler who are no longer with him but will always be in his heart.  He brings his passion and love for dogs every time he comes onto the floor at DD.

Downtown Dogs maintains an 'Open Door' policy and encourages owners to check in on their dogs throughout the day. Please feel free to checkout the dogs, but we do ask that you not leave the cameras up, when not watching. The live video is bandwidth intensive and will slow down as more people watch.
